SEO Suite guide
Set up the basics before changing advanced rules
Use the dashboard to choose your next task. The setup wizard, when present in your installed version, helps you review the basics; it is not a requirement to enable every module.
Before the first setup
For installation steps, use Getting Started. Back up an important live site and note any existing SEO plugin that controls titles, descriptions, or sitemaps. Decide which tool will own that output before enabling overlapping features.
Review the essentials
- Open the plugin dashboard in WordPress.
- Run the setup wizard if offered and review each choice before saving.
- Confirm the site’s identity and the basic title and description settings.
- Check that public content is not unintentionally excluded from indexing.
- Skip license activation for Free. Connect a license only for a paid edition.
- Open one important page and run a focused audit.
Example: a small service website
Start with the homepage and one service page. Check that their titles describe different purposes, their descriptions are accurate, and visitors can reach both pages. Leave advanced URL rules unchanged until you have a specific problem they need to solve.
Check before moving on
Reopen the saved settings, visit the public page, and run the same page check again. If the wizard is not available, use the ordinary settings screens and the Settings Helper; do not assume the installation failed.
Next: Titles, Meta, and Keywords or your first audit.
